Zixin(Bella)

Hello everyone, I'm Chen Zixin, but you can call me "Xinxin" or "Bella". I have been passionate about education since I was young and firmly believe in the value of children's education. My mother is a primary school English teacher. Due to her experience of changing lives through education, she chose to become a rural English teacher after graduation, bringing more hope and possibilities to children in rural areas who lack educational resources. My grandmother also survived the tumultuous times thanks to her good education.

I graduated from Chongqing University in China with a major in Broadcasting and Hosting Art, focusing on Standard Mandarin, Public Speaking, Broadcasting and Hosting. Since my university days, I have been working in children's education, and have obtained certificates as a children's broadcasting and hosting teacher, as well as a level one certificate in Mandarin. Later on, I furthered my studies in English broadcasting and hosting at VanArts and BCIT, and began teaching Mandarin as a foreign language.

I led a team of teachers to edit the Heyni Thinking Course, which was published in Canada in 2022. This series of courses is the first set of graded teaching materials based on idioms in the industry. Since then, I have also designed Chinese language clubs for many well-known private schools in Canada. In 2021, I participated as a Canadian representative in the largest "Chinese Language Week" professional seminar in the world and gave a keynote speech.

My educational goal is to give back "active learning" to children and deeply integrate professional Chinese education into teaching and research. I look forward to accompanying more children in taking higher quality Chinese classes, bringing them more Chinese knowledge, better order, and character.
